Figure skaters will force to be broken in a flat cake

New rules of refereeing in figure skating should appear already for a long time. About them spoke up to Olympiad in Salt Lake City, and during last winter Games already shouted literally - when like judicial plot which main participant became French judge Mari Le Gun, and the main victims - the Russian sportsmen Elena Berezhnaja and Anton Siharulidze would be opened. Gold at them have not selected, however delivery of the second gold complete set to the Canadian pair recognized by a victim of that "plot", became the real farce. Of course, the International union of skaters has quickly enough commissioned new system of refereeing. A question that from all it will turn out. Whether from bright performance figure skating will turn to sad execution of " base elements "? The New system rather essentially differs from old, 6-mark.
The main difference - points for execution of technical elements are summarized with those points which are awarded separately for each of five additional components: base sliding, a choreography, interpretation of music underneath, performance and a sheaf between elements. There were also essentially new participants of process - so-called " the technical expert ", " the technical controller " and " the second technical expert ". If technical experts cannot find common language - the technical controller the authority makes this or that decision. They define, so to say, initial positions, i.e. give judges of definition of those elements who are carried out by figure skaters, and also define a degree of their complexity, appropriate a certain category if want. Arbitrators, obtained these initial data, already estimate each element, proceeding from the decision of technical experts.
Difficultly? Still. Probably, judges and plainly still long will not understand, how they work. The international union of skaters has counted, it is obvious, that than more difficultly system, especially precisely and objectively it will work. However at complication of a technological chain always appears more than " weak places " where there can be a failure. It is More than experts - more different interpretations...
Here there is also one more, extremely important problem for all sports. Sportsmen and trainers can ask to themselves a logical question: and whether it is necessary to aspire to execution of high-quality and very complex elements if to reach desirable it will be possible only due to a lot simple? Whether it will turn out so, what in a new season the aspiration to make the program will fade into the background more difficultly and more interestingly? On the other hand, congestion of figure skating by supercomplex elements gradually kills all aesthetics of this remarkable kind of sports. Aspiring to complexity, sportsmen simply physically have not time to pay attention to virtuosity - and it in fact the major part of performance which, besides, is estimated " under the full program ". To find ideal balance between technics and virtuosity in history of figure skating it was possible schitannym to masters. Left so more often, that the sportsmen gravitating to art, so to say, to style, suffered insulting defeats though their bright performances longest remember admirers of figure skating.
As if to smaller probability of judicial arrangement - on this account there was a serious scientific research. The group of scientists-mathematicians of the USA has calculated, that at new rules the probability of arrangement of judges does not disappear at all but only decreases on 25 %. Certainly, this percent in itself dear costs - especially in such subjective from the point of view of refereeing a kind of sports, as figure skating (and especially - in sports dances where precise criteria practically are absent). But, on the other hand, opportunities of technical experts and the controller become too dominating and where a guarantee, what these people will not participate in new plot at a sharing of medals on any large tournament?.. The new system has passed the first serious check during Grand prix " Skejt America ". Also it was necessary to happen to such concurrence: there the dangerous trauma was received by Russian Tatyana Totmjanina who was kept on support with its partner Maxim Marinin. Certainly, peresudov was much, and many experts have connected these two facts - say, sportsmen are compelled to work with caution on new system and to increase quantity of elements to the detriment of quality. However as a whole favorites of tournament also became winners that gives the basis to speak that or the last system was not such imperfect, or judges perfectly cope with the new system, not stirring it to spin secret intrigues. In both cases productivity - and so, and necessity! - new system of refereeing it is put under doubt.
It is necessary to remind only, that the Federation of figure skating of Russia at voting in the International union of skaters was against such fast introduction of new refereeing. First, year of approbation it was obvious a little. Secondly, in due time outstanding Russian trainer Stanislav Zhuk has developed a rating scale for elements depending on their complexity, and its system has found a recognition at many experts. Perhaps, it was necessary to try all over again different systems and to compare their effectiveness? Yes, the old system allowed sportsmen from 4-th place after the short program to move on the first after any - so has occured to Russian Alexey Urmanovym who became the Olympic champion in 1994 in Lillehammere. But history in Salt Lake City when the first place was borrowed with two pairs - not better! And that on Games in Turin in 2006 there was no something similar, it is necessary to study very carefully for remained time all "reefs" of new system. Eventually, on judicial mistakes at times depend human destiny... And figure skating can absolutely be changed and cease to be such to which millions fans have got used.
